Steve Vanderwall's
1967 Ford Fairlane
427 - 425 hp
"The 67 Fairlane i a 38,000 mile mostly original paint car. It was a southern car most of its life. I decided to build a F.A.S.T. car after attending a couple races and getting the bug. I bought the car in April of 07 and worked on it never getting it to a race until late fall and then getting rained out. It is still a work in progress but is finally starting to hook and run better every race. Will be installing bucket seats soon. First race it ran inconsistant 12.20's to 13.50's. The next race much the same. After getting advice from other F.A.S.T. racers changes were made and it started to run much better and consistant. Best pass to date is a 11.78 with a 1.74 60 ft and 115 mph .A few upgrades to be made yet and hopefully get the car lighter. Better trans and cam change soon. The car has pulled the both front wheels 2-3 inches off the ground in eliminations at Martin in the 08 race."
