"I purchased this Duster in 1998 and have used it as a factory appearing street and strip car ever since. It is driven to a few local cruises as well as my local track a few times each year. My interest has always been in improving the performance without altering the stock appearance under the hood. The first motor was a stock stroke 340, with this modest effort achieving high 12 second times. A couple stroker motors later and the car runs solid 11.60's even in summer weather. The current combination is a balance between strip and street with 12:1 compression and a custom Engle solid flat tappet cam. It has been alot of fun experimenting with everything from the elegant thermoquad carb to different cam and head mods to produce the most power possible through stock 340 exhaust manifolds.
Please look for me at the track and feel free to introduce yourself."

Jeff's Duster is no stranger to the Dragstrip.
Looks 100% stock, but don't let that sleeper look fool you.
Mid 11 second ET's are only a heartbeat away! |
