1969 Dodge superbee 383 The "69" Super Bee started out as a Coronet 440 with a 383. It comes from San Diego, California. I purchased the car in the fall of 2004. It was a project underway that needed to be completed. It takes time and money to acquire all the parts to make a car rule compliant and go F.A.S.T. I had watched and read about the race series for some time and was waiting for a event to come close to my home in Virginia.
I attended my first race in the fall of 2007 at Virginia Motorsports Park.
The Super Bee did okay it first time out, it ran a 14.12 @ 94 mph. The car had minimal modifications, 3500 stall converter and a 3.91:1 rear end. I WAS HOOKED after that!
Over the winter I made more improvements to the car for the 2008 season. I made it to all but one race in 2008 and had the time of my life. All of the F.A.S.T. racers are great people and lots of fun. The Super Bee did its best time of 13.15 @ 102.91 mph, not bad. I have already started building a new motor for the F.A.S.T. class, I hope to have ready for sometime in 2009.
Harry

Harry's SuperBee is "SuperClean" inside and out and wouldn't give a passerby any reason not to think that's its not just another 14 or 15 second restored car. But get Harry on the track and watch peoples jaws drop when he blasts out an 11 second ET on skinny street tires!
