Here comes the Judge! This is the real deal here, no clones.
1969 GTO Judge Convertible, 1 of just 108 convertibles produced. 400 cubic inches of pure Pontiac, not just any Pontiac but the RA-IV. Specially designed high flow heads from the factory, with round exhaust ports and use a special round port only exhaust manifold. Bill has owned the Judge since 1997 and uses the car on the street and track, just like they were originally intended for. Bill likes the color orange, as he has owned 5 Judges all at the same time! The Judge has been raced very successfully at several Factory Stock drags, high 12's - low 13's are normal for this car!
Bill gave us alittle background on his car, so here it is in his own words:
A few years before bringing the car to Englishtown, I used to fill the car with gas, drive it to Westhampton raceway here on Long Island with the top down listening to the radio, run 13.10's or so at the track, and then drive back to my house, round trip total 150 miles. Never had a break down with the car, on or off the track. Those BF Goodrich Radial TA's are the only tires that have ever been on the car, and I have not had the motor apart since I owned it. The only time it has been ever trailered is when I have to take it to Englishtown, otherwise I drive it to car show/cruise-ins all the time. I used to take the car to formal judged car shows and do very well, but I am not interested in that scene anymore.
It is my favorite car to drive out of all the muscle cars I own. Its fast, reliable, cool as hell, and drives like a dream. Although I have faster cars, this one is still my favorite. Bill 'GONZO' Gannon
