Ed Cook's
1969 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 six pak
10 Second 440!
 Ed Cook's factory A12 Roadrunner 440 Six Pak car is a very rare car, it is one of only eight original black cars produced. Equipped with bucket seats and the automatic trans console. In November of 2005 Ed started racing the Roadrunner down the 1/4 mile. With a stock engine his best time was an impressive 12.89 @ 108 MPH. Now, in F.A.S.T. trim, the 440 using factory 906 casting cylinder heads belts out 596 HP at the crankshaft!

" I had heard of and was very interested in F.A.S.T. racing but the only times I every witnessed it was at the Mopar Nats. I have a few Mopars that I have restored over the years and never thought that I would ever race one down the track that was until I attended Mopars at the Valley in the fall of 2006. While my car was in the show field I was approached by Ralph Barbagallo and he would not take no for an answer. After the very first pass I was hooked! At this time the car has run a best of 11.38 @ 122 MPH. A feat I was told to be impossible by a few other racers as a 440 wedge had never gone in the 11's at that time. Looking forward to the 2007 seasons and hope to run down a few more tricks and maybe build a new car for the 2008 season.

2008 UPDATE: Ed ran an 11.10 @ 125.97 At the FAST Fall Nationals At Virginia Motorsports Park in 2008.
