2006 Columbus - F.A.S.T. RACE

The Columbus, Ohio F.A.S.T. race is held during the Mopar Nationals. Lots of spectators got to see what Year-Ones F.A.S.T. class is all about! Dave Dudek Jr's Road Runner proved to be the car to beat. Dave claimed #1 qualifier, Top MPH and low-ET, plus he won the F.A.S.T. eliminations! Congratulations Dave! Several other F.A.S.T. cars were in attendance but did not make the field. Pete Skalba's 67 Hemi GTX had brake problems, Ed Cooks 69 Road Runner twisted an axle. Steve Hodges ran an 11.70 at 128 MPH but had to drop out due to mechanical problems. Several F.A.S.T. cars were sold at the event, taking them out of eliminations.

F.A.S.T. Quick-8 Eliminations


Two HEMI Plymouths in Final Round!
Joel Nystrom in his 1967 Plymouth GTX lines up for the final round against Dave Dudek Jr's 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner.
Dave Dudek won with an 11.20 against Joel's losing 11.30.

Consolation Eliminator Finals
Pat Wendling's Firebird 400 raced the 1970 Hemi Roadrunner belonging to Ralph Barbagallo.
Pat was running very strong all day and won the finals with an 12.08 vs 12.63 for the Hemi.
